What is the Bulk Editing Tool in ActiveCampaign?
The bulk editing tool allows you to make changes to multiple contacts simultaneously, saving time and effort. With this feature, you can:
Edit tags: Add or remove tags for several contacts at once.
Custom fields: Update information in your contacts’ custom fields in bulk.
Subscribe/unsubscribe from lists: Efficiently manage contacts' subscriptions to different lists.
Add multiple contacts to automations: Easily integrate multiple contacts into your marketing automation workflows.
How to Use the Bulk Editor + Advanced Search
Step 1: Access the "Contacts" section To start, log into your ActiveCampaign account and go to the "Contacts" section. This is where you can perform all bulk editing actions.
Step 2: Search for and select the contacts you want to edit You can choose between two ways to select the contacts you want to edit:
Option 1 → Advanced Search Click on "Advanced Search" to use specific filters that allow you to find the contacts you want to edit in bulk. For example, you can filter contacts by tags, custom fields, or any other criteria that suit your needs.
Option 2 → Manually Select If you already know the contacts you want to edit, simply check the box next to each contact in the main list.
Step 3: Edit the selected contacts After selecting the contacts you want to edit, follow these steps:
Click on "Edit All" at the top of the list.
Select the element you want to update, whether it's tags, custom fields, list subscriptions, or any other attribute you need to modify.
Make the necessary changes in the corresponding fields.
Click "Apply" to confirm the changes.
And that’s it! Your contacts have been edited in bulk according to your specifications.
