# How to send time-specific automation

In this section, you will find insights on how to send time-specific automations in ActiveCampaign.

The most common automations for specific times are:

1. **Enter Automation on date/time**: Contacts enter the automation only when they meet the trigger and date/time conditions.
2. **Enter and wait**: Contacts enter the automation immediately when the trigger is met but can only proceed after meeting the Wait action conditions.
3. **Date-based Trigger**: Automatically adds contacts from a list to the automation on a specific date/time.

To set up time-specific automation, go to the Automations tab in the ActiveCampaign bar tool, create your automation, and specify the desired time.
